Delve into the weird and wonderful world of illustrator Arushi Kathuria
Magical, mysterious, psychedelic and surreal are some of the words that can be used to interpret the expressive and energetic work of illustrator and animator Arushi Kathuria. With an adventurous aesthetic that oozes confidence, we describe her work simply as, kick-ass!
We first came across Arushi on Instagram where she regularly gives us a glimpse into her weird and wonderful subconscious. With an explosion of bold graphics, celestial themes, neon colours, textures and dimensions, it is evident Arushi brings a realm of exuberance through her extremely vivid and spirited imagination.
Said to be influenced by the work of Quentin Blake and Leif Podhajsky, as well as her own dream state, Arushi is currently a designer at MTV India having studied at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Having one of the coolest Tumblrs around, Arushi has also designed for Adidas, participated in 36 Days of Type and created illustrations inspired by fashion houses such as Lovebirds and NorBlack NorWhite.
